Obviously, many things have shifted in our culture and the practice of dating is definitely one of them.
It’s time for Christians to resurrect the idea of courting and redefine what godly relationships should look like. God instructs us to “.be yoked together with unbelievers..” (2 Corinthians , NIV).
It is fantastic to make a solid commitment to pursue God’s standards for romance either as an individual or as a family. The answer is they aren’t as different as some might lead you to think.
That’s because God is more concerned with the character and spiritual maturity of each person.
Unfortunately, however, our culture teaches our singles to engage in multiple dating relationships as though it were a normal and useful practise.
The truth is, the modern dating system has only been around for less than a century.
And with today’s modern attitudes toward dating, we’re tempted to look to serve ourselves first before thinking of the needs of others.
All these factors have led to a sharp decrease in the idea of “courtship” as opposed to dating.
